About FWSA

Greetings and welcome to the Fairfax Women's Soccer Association website!

Our organization is over 25 years old and consists of roughly 900 women between the ages of 18 and "somewhere [well] over 50." Here is your guide to our wonderful world of soccer--

We have four age categories:

Open--women 18 years or older--any woman can play here
Masters--over 30
Grandmasters--over 40
GGM--over 50

"over" means that women must turn that particular age within the first season that they play.

From there, the age brackets break into color divisions:

Note: although we are a recreational league, competition is a natural aspect of the game. A higher degree of skill and a greater degree of competition can be found in the higher divisions.

Blue--upper division, considered more competitive
Red--middle division, a bit competitive 
White--lower division, for those new/newer to the game, more recreational

Our base fields are located in the Pine Ridge Park complex across Woodburn Road from Fairfax Hospital. We play at many locations around the county and in Manassas Park, depending on our field allocation for the season. We are mainly a Saturday league, but do have some night games at lit fields during the week.
